Hotel Review: Sapa Village Hotel

A rice-terraces-inspired hotel

Sapa is one of the must-visit places here in Vietnam. It is a district-level town in the province of Lao Cai. The town has different ethnic minority groups like Dao (Yao), Giay, Tay, Xa Pho, and Hmong.

What I like here is the climate, it’s foggy and cold when I visited this amazing town. The Hoang Lien Son range of mountains rule the roost which is already close to the border of China and at the eastern boundary of the Himalayas. And along these stretches lies this rice-terraces-inspired hotel called The Sapa Village Hotel.

Sapa Village Hotel

This boutique hotel has 7 levels and each level named after a village in Sapa instead of the floor number. Such as Ta Phin, Cat Cat, Sin Chay, Supan, and Thanh Phu village where my room is located. There are 41 rooms as of the moment (7 superior rooms, 31 deluxe rooms, 3 family rooms) and another 2 bungalows are under construction for families and small groups.

It is built in the center of Sapa town and just a few minutes away to the famous landmarks and local markets. Suchlike, Sapa lake and market, the stone church, central square, and silver waterfall.

Deluxe Room

All of the rooms are modernly designed with a welcoming style and fully furnished with high-quality facilities.

I arrived in Sapa around 5:45 am and walked a few meters away to my hotel. And the receptionist warmly welcomed me. She gave me the key card, for me to get rest immediately after a long bus trip from Hanoi.

I’ve got a Deluxe Room which is a 28-square meter guest room that overlooks the stunning landscape of Ham Rong mountain and the Fansipan, the highest mountain in Vietnam.

It is on the 3rd floor and the perfect hangout place to grab something to drink after a long day. They have a lot of choices from local wines and beers, smoothies, juices, and a lot more. From here you can also see the fascinating façade and architecture of the hotel and that’s made this place exceptional.

They also arrange group and private tours around Sapa like visiting different villages, waterfalls, etc. Unfortunately, I already booked my tour beforehand so I wasn’t able to experience their service. Though I know the hotel staffs are more than happy to assist you like all of them are very approachable and bring up a positive vibe.

Final Thoughts

“The architecture of this hotel is really remarkable not just that but also the service of the staff. They exceeded my expectations and I’m so thrilled to share my experiences at this hotel. I love my whole stay and looking forward to staying here again in the near future. What an exceptional customer service from check-in to check-out! Keep up the good work guys!”
