I arrived here with my friend and traveled from Yangon to Mandalay for 7-8 hours. It’s still dark when we arrived at the hotel may be around 5 am. Good thing grab tuk-tuks are available 24/7. So from the bus station, it still took us 8-10 mins before reaching our hotel where we will stay for the next 2 days. And we stayed at the Wilson Hotel in Mandalay, Myanmar.

I’ll tell you in detail about how we get here in my next article so stay tuned. 😊 Moving forward, I’ll share with you first our experiences at the Wilson Hotel. From arrival until our departure.

As we arrived, receptionists were warm and welcoming even though we came really late than the expected time. They assisted us as fast as they could because we’re both look exhausted upon arrival. They asked for our passports and immediately handed the key to our room. Very efficient check-in! Good Job!

Facilities and Services

This is the highlight of our stay here at the Wilson Hotel Mandalay. I can say that their breakfast was up to the luxury hotel standards. Meaning to say, they cater to different cuisines like Western, Asian, and mostly the traditional Burmese breakfast that will definitely satisfy your taste buds.

The restaurant has a wide dining area overlooking the city of Mandalay. It’s really a perfect and suitable spot while having meals at any time of the day.

Outdoor Pool

There’s nothing really special to do after a scorching-hot-tour rather than to dive into the pool! 😊 The outdoor pool is ideal for kids and adult guests. It is also located outside next to the fitness center which is also perfect after your workout. It’s a good place to relax while seeing the view of Mandalay City at night.

“Generally, It was a good stay. Staffs are very courteous and welcoming. Breakfast was superb! Though there are only a few things to work out here as some of the things around are quite obsolete now. But I know that the Wilson Hotel Mandalay management is doing something to sort all the things out and will soon get back on track. In which I’m looking forward to and I’m so excited to stay here again when I get back to Mandalay. Good luck and Great Job to all of you! Thank you. See you all next time! 😊”
