It’s our last stop before we bid goodbye to this wonderful country of Myanmar also known as Burma. We stayed to this humble and amazing Six Stars Guest House which is perfectly located right next to the Old Bagan temples.

We left Mandalay by bus around 3 pm and arrived at 7:30 pm. Luckily our hotel in Mandalay helped us book a bus going to the Old Bagan. It cost us 9,000 Kyat (6.15 USD) per person. I’ll share with you all the expenses we had for this trip on my next article so keep an eye out. 😊

For now, allow me to share with you guys our experience here at the Six Stars Guest House.

Twin Room

Upon our arrival, the receptionist was smiling and really keen to help us with our bags. We’re actually hungry by that time so we just put our things in our room and went outside to grab some food for dinner.

After that, we head back to our hotel and that’s the only time we had a chance to enjoy our simple and homey twin room with 2 single beds.

The room is fully furnished with proper air-conditioning, minibar, toilet and bathroom, wardrobe, working desk, a huge mirror, flatscreen TV, clothes hangers, complimentary bottles of water, coffee and tea equipment, and laundry bags.

Toilet and Bathroom

It has a private toilet and bathroom with essential toiletries like body soaps, dental kit, shampoo, shaving kit, hairdryer, hand and bath towels, slippers, shower caps, and shower gel. The bathroom has a hot and cold shower too which is perfect whatever the weather is.

Restaurant

The Restaurant is located on the top floor, offering Western cuisines and local Burmese food. We woke up at 4 am but it’s still close. So we had our breakfast after we witnessed the sunrise in the Old Bagan city which is very timely as we’re starving. The breakfast was fine and I love their local food. The room is included with breakfast so make sure to enjoy it! 😊

Other Services

E-Bike rental. Basically, the local government encouraged all the tourists to use E-Bikes for an environment-friendly tour around the temples of the Old Bagan. Which I think is a good thing, it’s a good start and it’s good to know that they really care for the environment and not just the tourism itself.

For more inquiries, don’t hesitate to contact the management at any time of your stay. 😊

I also used their laundry service which is very cheap and efficient. So if you’re going to stay here in the Old Bagan and you’ve got a lot of used clothes, feel free to use their service at the cheapest cost.

Convenient Location

My friend and I think that Six Stars Guest House has one of the most perfect locations in Bagan because it’s sitting right next to these ancient temples. The main attractions here in the Old Bagan. It will only take you like 8-10-minute-drive from the hotel and you’re all set for the wonderful experience waiting for you.

Conclusion

“All in all, we really had a great stay here at the Six Stars Guest House Bagan even though we only stayed for a night. It’s not enough to enjoy the whole place but will definitely be going back here. Very cozy rooms, friendly staff, and clean ambiance. We are really thankful as they gave us ideas about the place and helped us book a bus going back to Yangon. To all of you out there, if you’re planning to visit the Old Bagan, make sure to stay at the Six Stars Guest House and I guarantee that everything will be awesome! Thank you again! See you!”
