Hotel Review: Aerotel Singapore

Aerotel Singapore Reception

I was quite worried when I arrived at Changi International Airport. Because as I booked a room with Aerotel Singapore, it is clearly stated that their property is located within the transit area. Which means it’s restricted. You must have a valid boarding pass and travel documents to get in. Good thing I can check-in early and get a boarding pass with my airline 18 hours or 70 minutes before my flight. That’s a relief!

How to get here?

I came to the airport night before my flight and tired coming from a quick trip to Batam, Indonesia. (Read Article: 2 nights in Batam, Indonesia to know more.) Fortunately, I was welcomed with my fellow Filipino at the reception and she immediately accommodates me. The next thing I know, I already have the room key and ready to dive into the bed to get some rest. Very efficient and swift check-in process!

The transit hotel is located at Changi International Airport Terminal 1, near boarding gate D41. As far as I remember, the escalator to the hotel is just right next to the Information Center.

Double Plus Room

The warm lighting in the hallway leading to the rooms sets the mood. They’ve got 3 types of rooms; solo room, double plus room, and a family room. I was assigned to a double plus room. This 20 sqm-room has a private bathroom, 42’ large-screen TV, powerful shower, coffee and tea, and complimentary toiletries.

Booking a room will give you full access to their library lounge, fitness corner, and an outdoor pool. You can also choose a pillow of your choice for the best and finest sleeping experience.
